The Ten Billion Tree Tsunami project in Pakistan has created 60,000 jobs for people who hsvr become unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The project’s main goal is to combat climate change by planting 10 billion trees.
White Americans over the age of 65 have decreasing support for Trump due to how he is handling the COVID-19 pandemic. This demographic were some of the “most decisive voters” during the 2016 election. Without support from this older population, Trump’s presidency could be difficult to maintain.
New Zealand has “effectively eliminated” COVID-19. The country’s mandatory quarantine, moratorium of domestic travel, and strict lockdown of restaurants, businesses, and pubs have proved successful for the Australian island.
An empty New York City inspires floral designer Lewis Miller to create art out of the city’s trashcans and popular attractions by filling them with flowers. “I am in the business of fantasy and flowers, and it’s my job to transform key moments in my clients’ lives into joyful, everlasting memories. I wanted to recreate a similar feeling for the everyday city-dwellers and tourists of New York City,” said Lewis.
Workers in Paris are handing out millions of face masks to metro riders in hopes to slow the spread of COVID-19 in the popular city.
